What are your breakfast options?

Continental breakfast is $6.00 per person. This consists of toast, cereal, juice, fruit, tea and coffee. The Alatai cafe (located near reception) is open for breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, seven days a week.

What transport is available to get around?

As the city is not far from Alatai, people either walk or take a taxi to go into the city. The nearest bus stop from Alatai is pretty much in the city, about 8 minutes walk, it's on Cavenagh Street. This bus stop takes you to different areas/attraction in Darwin, such as Casuarina Shopping Centre, which is the largest shopping centre in Darwin, Fannie Bay, which is a beach/BBQ recreation area, Darwin Waterfront, Crocodylus Park (a zoo), Aviation Hertiage Centre, and other Darwin Suburbs.

Or there is The Tour Tub. This is a hop on hop off bus which goes around major Darwin Attractions. They cost is about $35 per person.

To get to the airport, you may take a taxi, which will cost about $25-$30 or the Darwin Airport Shuttle. They run 24 hours and pick you up depending on your flight time. Costs to go on the shuttle vary. Prices are below:

What can I do nearby?

Alatai is approximately 10-15 minutes' walk to the city centre. There is an attraction their called Crocosauraus Cove, which is a museum on crocodiles and reptiles in Mitchell street, which is the main street. During the dry season, which is May-August, we have the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets. It's about a 25-30 minute walk. The Botanical Gardens is a 15 minute walk from Alatai. Other attractions such as the Darwin Waterfront, NT Museum and Art Gallery, and Parap Markets are all a short drive away.

Do you have internet?

Yes, we do have internet in the apartments. We use Jimojo as our wireless internet provider. Guest may register with them using their credit card or they may purchase vouchers at reception. Prices do vary. Voucher rates are $7.50 (1 hours access), $12.95 (2 hours access), and $16.50 (1 day full access).

Do you provide parking?

Alatai Holiday Apartments offer free car parking to all our in house guests.
