Boardrider Backpackers offers a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, funky bars, pubs, nightclubs, shops and markets right on the doorstep. , and a short ferry ride to the world famous Sydney Harbour and Opera House or the centre of Sydney. This perfect location gives you the opportunity to experience Australian beach culture at its best, while only being seven miles from the heart of the city.

Manly is a haven for the sporting enthusiast. Manly truly has it all, a great foot ball ground, cricket ground, skate park, beach volley ball courts, tennis courts, coral reef for great snorkelling, hiking tracks, Olympic pool and one of Australia best surfing spots. All within walking distance of the hostel.

Ocean world ? only 200 metre from Manly wharf, one of the premier attraction of the area offering fun for all ages. Experience the wonders of the animal world with daily tours, shark feeding and live animal shows, you can even swin with a shark.

Manly Art Gallery - The Manly Art Gallery holds temporary exhibitions which include international touring exhibitions, high profile satellite exhibitions from the major state galleries as well as shows curated by the Manly Art Gallery & Museum.

Boardrider Backpackers doesn?t have any parking onsite however there is free parking 5 minutes walk on Sydney road on the left hand side heading from the city towards The Hostel.

If you require more secure parking, Manly Council has four car parks available 7 days a week, offering a variety of hours. Two car parks are in Central Avenue, one in Whistler Street and the other in Wentworth Street. It cost approximately $20 per day.

What are your breakfast options?: We do not supply breakfast here; however, there are a huge number of cafes and restaurants at our doorstep that offer breakfast from as little as $9.95 for a mixed breakfast.
What can I do nearby?: We supply weekly entertainment activities here at the hostel from quiz nights to weekly Friday BBQ'S on our rooftop; however, we are located on the main pedestrian access street which is within walking distance from several clubs, pubs and night time entertaining areas. There are also bike hire, aquarium, shark diving, bush walking tracks, view points and not to mention the beach, which are all close by. You can also take a ferry, duration is 30 minutes from Manly to Circular Quay for even more entertainment in the city.
Do you have internet?: We do have internet here but it is not available in every room. We do have hot spot around the hostel and some rooms are lucky enough to get a connection, but we do not supply the connection in all rooms. It is $4.00 an hour for wireless or we do have a 24-hour wireless for $10.00, 3 days is $24.95 and one week is $49.95. We also have computer facilities here which are $3.00 per hour.
