Imagine being able to walk on a deserted beach and at low tide walk across to a deserted island to explore. Diamond Island offers apartment style accommodation in a stunning beachfront location on Tasmania's east coast. Located 2 and a half hours from Hobart airport and just over 2 hours from Launceston guests will enjoy a complimentary evening penguin tour during their stay.

Accommodation includes the following extras: Austar TV, DVD and flat screen TV. Add to this the best quality linen, cosmetics and Facets Restaurant for the best in local seafood and cool climate wines. The DAY SPA allows you to unwind and be pampered from head to toe. Choose from tennis, ping pong, billiards or swim on the outdoor pool. The onsite gym is well equipped for those keeping fit on holidays or just relax and soak in the view from the resort sun deck. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.

What are your breakfast options?: Light continental breakfast provisions are provided in the apartment daily and the cost is free of charge. It consists of freshly baked bread in your bread oven, cereals, a selection of jams, teas and coffee.
What transport is available to get around?: To travel to and from Bicheno and to the National Parks and surrounding areas, you will need to hire a car, and all hiring of vehicles is either from Launceston or Hobart. Bicheno does not have any vehicles for hire. The public bus service is very limited in getting you to all the areas that you will want to see.
What can I do nearby?: Diamond Island Resort has a tennis court, table tennis table, pool/billiard table, outdoor solar swimming pool and direct beach access. A guided penguin tour at dusk each evening is free to our guests which operates on our property as Diamond Island Resort is part of a penguin rookery.

Nature World is a wildlife attraction close to Diamond Island and has the Tasmanian Devils and a variety of other animals for viewing. Diamond Island Resort is close to 2 National Parks- Freycinet and the Douglas Aspley National Parks for day trips.
