Half Moon Bay Resort Holiday Apartments are situated at Yorkeys Knob, a delightful tranquil location on the northern beaches of Cairns. Your hosts, Ellen and Rick, are on-site managers and offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel has 12 fully self contained 1 bedroom apartments which are set in lush tropical gardens opposite the picturesque Half Moon Bay Golf Course. The complex has a freeform salt water pool with spa pool attached and BBQ area for your enjoyment. Star Apple Restaurant is located at the golf club and is open for lunch/snacks and dinner.

Each apartment comfortably sleeps a maximum of 4 people and have kitchen and laundry facilities, air-conditioning and a private balcony.

The hotel offers a free tour booking and car rental service to suit the individual needs of the guests. Half Moon Bay Resort is within easy walking distance of local restaurants, the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club and Marina, and the Yorkeys Knob shopping centre.

The hotel has a Tour Desk can advise or arrange tours that you wish to participate in, along with organising rental cars. A variety of restaurants and shops, a marina and the beach are all a short walk away.

For bookings for a minimum of five nights, the hotel offers complimentary airport transfers between the hours 7. 30am and 6. 30pm Monday to Friday, or Saturday from 8am to 6. 30pm and must be prebooked. Please contact us once you have made your booking.

From Cairns Airport, Coral Coaches are available for transfers, or Black & White Taxis cost approximately $35. 00 to Yorkeys Knob.

If you are driving, proceed north on Captain Cook Highway to Yorkeys Knob roundabout (approximately 11km from the airport), turn right and drive into Yorkeys Knob. Turn left at Wattle Street and proceed approxiamtely 500 metres to Half Moon Bay Resort on the left. We also have a full tour desk, so there is no need to prebook your tours as the hotel has over 250 brochures at reception that we can go through with you and give you good advice.

What are your breakfast options?: At the local shopping centre, we have a Cafe that does a beautiful breakfast for $10.00 per person nearly all day. Also, the Boat Club does a breakfast at weekends, and the unit is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, if you wish to eat in.
What transport is available to get around?: There is a local bus service that runs hourly Monday - Friday and 2 hourly on Saturday & Sunday. We provide a pick-up service from the airport for $35.00 and a drop-off service for $30.00.

We can also organize car hire to be delivered to the resort.
What can I do nearby?: We are situated near the Skyrail, Cairns Zoo, Hartleys Crocodile Farm, Smithfield Shopping Centre, and approximately 45-55 minutes drive from Port Douglas. The Boat Club also has live music on Saturday afternoon. Also, we feature a full tour desk, with all information available to enable you to book your tours, on the spot, directly through our office.
