InterContinental Hotel Sydney

My wife and myself always choose this hotel when we weekend in Sydney. The Watson bay rooms have a great view over the harbour and part of the city. Try and get the rooms in the centre for the best views and floor 16 or 17 gives views from the bed its self!The corner room nearest the city is not the best for views. Food in cafe opera is good and the seafood buffet great value ( half price from 6 pm to 7.30pm)or use your loyalty vouchers. Breakfast is also very good again self selection or a la carte should you prefer. Parking is charged and is valet parked. Join the Ambassador club for late check and free items i.e. fruit bowl and a movie. Public areas are good but can be a little cold in winter. Service is very good and staff are well trained and friendly.Date of Stay: June 2009

The hotel has a great location and the harbour rooms have a fabulous view. However on our stay over the xmas/new year period, we found the service inconsistent with a shocking ability to consistently get things wrong. Ensure you check your bill carefully on checkout otherwise you may end up paying for items that you do not expect. The hotel trades on its location.Date of Stay: December 2008
