What are your breakfast options?

The standard breakfast is Continental, consisting of a choice of cereals, breads/toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee. Hot breakfasts can be purchased on the day consisting of eggs, bacon and tomato (or any combination) served on toast. The continental breakfast is available from 8:15am, and hot breakfast from 8:30am, until 9:30am. Guests requiring an early breakfast can be provided with provisions in their room (continental only).

What transport is available to get around?

If you use public transport then we are only a couple of blocks away from the Medlow Bath Railway Station, and we offer complimentary transfers from the station to/from The Chalet. Medlow Bath is one station from Katoomba (5 minutes by train), where you can then purchase a $20.00 all day ticket to use on the trolley tours bus. This has 39 stops and you can hop on and off as many times as you like during the day. Other tours also run from Katoomba, such as to Jenolan Caves. There is also the public bus service to many locations and we can provide timetables if required.

What can I do nearby?

Our property is surrounded by a large garden, situated in a very peaceful village. There are some bushwalks nearby. A short drive of between 5 to 10 minutes (or train ride) places you at the majority of attractions of the Upper Blue Mountains, including:
- the Three Sisters and Echo Point
- Scenic World with the Scenic Railway descending into the valley, or the SkyWay above the falls.
- Leura Cascades, Katoomba Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Govett's Leap, Evans Lookout, and many other lookouts
- Leura Village (boutique shopping and cafes) and Katoomba Town Centre
- Everglades Gardens - a must for garden lovers
- Blackheath Village (boutique shopping, large antique centre, cafes)
- numerous bushwalks in the National Park, golf courses, tennis, bike riding trails, horse riding
- fine dining restaurants, live entertainment, casual dining.
- a little further away (bus available) is the Jenolan Caves with tours ranging from 90 to 120 minutes of various caves (moderate fitness required)
- other attractions within half to one hour travel include the Zig Zag railway, Mt Victoria, Hartley Historic Village, Mt Wilson.
