Set in Palm Cove, the Reef Retreat is a perfect base while in Cairns. The retreat offers a golf course, an outdoor pool and a tour desk as well as babysitting / child services, a 24 hour reception and a beauty centre.

Families can relax knowing there is enough room for them to spread out in the specially designed oversized family rooms. The rooms at the retreat have cable / satellite channels, a plasma / LCD TV and a full kitchen. Rooms have kitchenettes equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a microwave and a refrigerator. Interconnected rooms are available. As standard all rooms include air conditioning and also come with a safe and a private bathroom.

William Walter Mason Bridge and Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park are within easy driving distance of the Reef Retreat. Cairns Airport (CNS) is a 30 minute drive from the retreat. Under 10 minutes drive away are some great tourist destinations such as the Cairns Tropical Zoo, and conveniently there is complimentary parking on site at the retreat should you require it.

What are your breakfast options?: As the apartments have kitchenettes, some guests opt to self cater. There are very many breakfast options along the esplanade from full breakfast to pancakes, muffins, juices etc. A full breakfast with bacon, eggs, juice, coffee is around $28. Most cafes are open around 7:30am; there are some restaurants that open at 6:30am.
What transport is available to get around?: There is a public bus that runs into Cairns on a regular basis. There are taxis to the airport or a shuttle bus service. Pick ups are available to the attractions.
What can I do nearby?: Palm Cove is ideally placed for all attractions in the area; all tours pick up and drop off from Palm Cove and we enjoy a central position. There are several bars that have live music at certain times.
Do you have internet?: We have wireless internet available; most of the rooms pick it up, otherwise there are various undercover hot spots with seating around the property that guests can use. Costs are (provided guests log off each time they use the internet, they pick up the time where they left off):
