About Meridian

One of the fastest-growing cities in Idaho, Meridian lies directly west of the state capital, Boise. It was originally established in 1891 as the town of “Hunter” and transformed into a thriving agricultural hub with the construction of the Settlers' Irrigation Ditch. “Hunter” was later renamed “Meridian” after its location on the Boise Meridian.

It’s home to high-end boutiques, restaurants and a cinema complex, making it a popular gathering spot and entertainment destination. Adjacent to The Village is Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park, where you’ll find a children’s playground, an outdoor amphitheatre and sporting facilities.

Travelling with kids? Don’t miss the Children’s Museum of Idaho with its hands-on and interactive experiences that will keep them busy for hours.
