Stayed here for 1 week. Excellent hotel, you get what you pay for in a Sofitel establishment and the Bogota Victoria Regina provides that. Desk staff very friendly and speaks English well. Concierge less English but tries to be helpful as much as possible. Room faced the small but busy street but the room windows kept it relatively quiet. Overall hotel halls and room were quiet. Room kept well and clean all time, water pressure a bit low. Only caution is Zona Rosa is 13 km from Plaza Bolivar and 10 km from Monserrate and with Bogota traffic it can take 45-50 min to get there at times. So if you plan on being downtown a lot plan for travel time a lot. Mostly taxi travel, since buses are crowded and not direct to destination (but doable on Carerra 7 or 11). Otherwise Zona Rosa is an upscale neighborhood, a large mall three blocks away, large grocery supermarket two blocks away, many bars, restaurants (of all kinds, high end, low end, all types of food), shops, banks with ATM's whatever you need is in the area. Friday night extremely lively (Ovejo a nice little place for drink around the corner from the park up the street) in the zone.
