Parklands Country Gardens and Lodges

LikedWe loved the sitting room and the gardens. Our room was quite nice, not what it showed on the advertising but was still nice.We were staying close to Breenhold Gardens for our renewal of wedding vows for our 50th and were very excited to arrive.

DislikedThe staff when we checked in were very rude and unwelcoming with not even one smile. We felt like we had interrupted their conversation which involved lunch and it wasn't nice. We were told we were too early and to come back later although l had asked for an early check in when booking. We did not have a working fire place as shown in the advertising and the toilet intermittently did not flush. The rooms are noisy as we had upstairs guests keeping us awake at night walking around. The gardens, are pretty but paving etc was quite dirty and walking out in my wedding gown was difficult with leaves and ant nests everywhere.

LikedThe location was beautiful. Facilities very comfortable.

LikedMy stay at Parklands was fine The Receptionist argued with me about the check in time even though I had confirmed an hour before your check in time when I booked my order After arguing with me the Receptionist contacted cleaning staff who confirmed that my room was ready There was paint chipping off on the mantel piece above the fireplace The gas fire didn’t work and required maintenance to fix the fire I come to the Blue Mountains once a week My previous stay was very nice Yvette Miller

LikedLuxurious rooms that are well-appointed and secluded. It felt like we were miles from anywhere, yet we were actually quite close to the town centre. The car park even included a charger, which was a nice bonus.

LikedRoom: Large with comfortable bed and well designed lounge area.

DislikedBreakfast: Can only be described as mediocre considering the rate charged. Dinner: Non existent despite them advertising a "Dining" package. When I queried dinner arrangements, I was told that I could have dinner at a "sister" establishment. There is a nice, but small Thai restaurant and the local fish and chips shop offered excellent choice of take away seafood.
