Had a really great time staying here. It's so central and great for transport links, there's so much to see and do nearby. There are regular tours and events and a microbrewery downstairs. We didn't take advantage of any of these things as there's so much to do in Berlin (you could walk in any direction and find something of entertainment value) but it's nice there's a friendly and fun environment. There are so many great places to eat nearby and supermarkets. The hostel was clean (though a few times toilet rolls ran out and wasn't replaced for a while) and felt very secure with swipe card entry and we had a safe in our room. The staff were really friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with any queries - they will even post your postcards from here (you need to source the stamps). We stayed during a heat wave so had to keep the windows open at night. Our room looked out onto a busy road which was really loud but you get used to it (aside from the emergency vehicle sirens which are unbelievably piercing in Berlin). The hostel rooms themselves seem very quiet and when the windows were closed it was easy to get some sleep on the very comfy bed. They provide bedding but bring a towel or you'll be renting one. We used communal toilets and showers which were clean, reasonably spacious and plentiful. We'll shortly be planning our next trip to Berlin next year and will definitely be staying here again!
