The Westin Palace, Madrid Hotel

From the first moment you realize that you are in a special hotel with the charm and glamor of another era. Everywhere you look, you can see the elegance and refined style of Art Nouveau so characteristic of the luxury hotels of the first decades of the last century, something that is increasingly difficult to find and that is regrettably being lost. The rooms have that same air being very comfortable to be spacious and well-lit, with Wi-Fi and a large television I think that 46 'with any number of channels in several languages ​​also indicated that cleaning is very careful. Rooms is excellent you just have to call and at the moment you have a waiter with a smile and an impeccable appearance serving you what you asked for.

My wife and I just celebrated her birthday and our upcoming anniversary in grand style by staying here, where we were treated royally. GM Pablo Flores, along with Aurelia and Peggy Joan, had ensured our stay would be perfect even before we arrived. Truly impressive. Our suite was exquisitely charming. It is our new casa in Madrid. Pablo is most delightful and charismatic and has a most remarkable staff. The Palace is one of the grand dame hotels in the world. La Rotonda is a must-see expanse and must dine in experience. Its stained glass dome and wall mouldings transport you back to the early 20th century when it opened. Aurelia personally greeted us upon check-in and gave us a tour of our suite. Most impressive! Peggy Joan showed us the Royal Suite and took care of some finer points of our 5 night visit. Head Waiter David Fraile at La Rotonda Restaurant is a consummate professional. He ensured that everything was perfect in every way. Nader, Katrina and Antonio in the 1912 Museo Bar are marvelous. Be sure to look at all the historic artifacts and photographs, including Dali and Federico. Concierge Carlos Cerrato gave us the most perfect places to see. His recommendations were spot on. Had he not suggested these places, we would have surely missed some hidden gems in Madrid. All in all, this was one of the most magnificent and magical stays we have ever had. We highly recommend this Palace as your casa in Madrid. By staying here you will create life long memories you will treasure forever.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Was delighted that when I checked in at 9 am as I had requested, not only did they have a room available, but I was given an upgrade (benefits of being an SPG member!). Any time a hotel accommodates my request for a really early check in. I am very appreciative! (Many hotels do not). The hotel is quite charming with a most spectacular rotunda, where I enjoyed both breakfast and afternoon tea. Breakfast somewhat pricey, but convenient, magnificent ambiance and certainly a nice selection of items. Free internet was more than fine for routine internet needs. Staff members were at front reception, concierge, housekeeping, dining room and front door were friendly and always inquiring about any assistance they could provide. Room was charming, spacious and clean. The location is IDEAL! I walked everywhere, the farthest location being the royal palace was about a mile, Prado across the st and the central squares all are less the a mile. Charming hotel, attentive staff in the perfect local. Highly recommend.
