Question 1

What is the best place in Sydney for bars and restaurants?

Accepted Answer

Book Sydney hotels and enjoy wining and dining like never before. With several areas of this cosmopolitan city being geared towards culinary entertainment, certain suburbs stand out as major dining destinations, such as Surry Hills, just off the epicentre of the city. Known for stylish cafes, bistros, high-end dining and popular bars, booking hotels in Surry Hills will give you access to not only eateries such as Bert’s and Ormeggio, but also place you near Cleveland and Crown Streets, with rows of trendy stores. The Dolphin was named ‘Bar Of The Year’ from the Good Food Guide and specialises in sustainably-made wines as well as cocktails. When booking Sydney accommodation near the Surry Hills area, consider the Mercure, Royal Exhibition or Hotel 57 – all of which fall in line with a high-end yet affordable stay.

Question 2

What is the best place in Sydney for a family holiday?

Accepted Answer

If you are booking hotels in Sydney for the family, then the beach areas are always great fun. Manly Beach, which consists of several beaches set in the same location, is a great base consisting of hotels such as The Sebel and Manly Lodge. From here, you can access the ferry with ease, for day trips around the scenic coastlines. The Fairy Bower is a rockpool built back in 1929 and a major attraction in the suburb. Visit the Little Penguins colony march, which takes place from May to February every year, and see the penguins march home for the evening. North Head Sanctuary is a picturesque natural area for hikes, and Manly Surf School will get the whole family ready to hit the waves. With several kid-friendly eateries, such as The Jellyfish and The Manly Pantry, on the beachfront, you can grab a bite to eat while you do some whale spotting.

Question 3

What are the best things to do and see in Sydney?

Accepted Answer

Sydney is renowned for the Sydney Opera House and all the arts and culture that comes to the venue. Enjoy the Museum of Contemporary Art or the Museum of Sydney, near Darling Harbour, or if you prefer a more outdoors holiday, spend the day on the famous Bondi Beach or enjoying the Coogee Coastal Walk. Spend the day at Taronga Zoo and catch over 4,000 animals, including local indigenous species. Harbour cruises are highly popular to watch the sunset over the coastline, or you can take a walk over the immensely high Sydney Harbour Bridge. Meander around the Royal Botanical Gardens or take part in one of the ‘I’m Free’ walking tours, which take place in the city to show tourists the highlights.

What are the best places to stay in Sydney for nightlife?

Accepted Answer

There are many wonderful parts of Sydney that will put you in a position to enjoy the city. Consider Darling Harbour or The Rocks, based close together to give you easy access to the harbour nightlife, old town of Sydney and more. Nightlife is in abundance around these areas, and the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour will put you in the heart of the activity.
