We stayed 3 nights at the Palazzo Montemartini and were delighted with the service, location and the room allocated. The condition of the hotel is outstanding and the level of service from the staff members we encountered was some of the best of the many years of our travels. We had a deluxe double room on the 4th floor which was large and spacious. The oddities with this room however were the large bath within the bedroom and the only light coming from a high window above the bed and a skylight above the bath. This did not distract us though as laying in bed either at night or in the morning and watching the sky was a very pleasant experience. Being opposite the Termini station the hotel is ideally placed for transport links to/from the airport or other destinations throughout Italy. With the center of Rome being relatively small compared to some other cities around the world, the hotel enables explorers to walk from the hotel to any of the major historical sites within the city center. We took advantage of this fact on both of the full days we were there.
