Stroll along the scenic walking trails of Kanagawa Kenritsu Sagamisansen Park, which hugs the Sagami River. There’s a children’s playground and fitness equipment, together with seasonal flower displays.

Discover if your life’s heading in the right direction at the Samukawa Shrine, which is believed to have been founded in the 5th century during the reign of Emperor Yūryaku. It’s the only shrine in Japan that uses the Happo-yoke technique of determining if certain life directions are good or bad, helping to alleviate misfortune from making bad choices.

Head north to explore the hiking trails of Mount Takao in Sagamihara, home to the Shingon Buddhist temple of Takaosan Yakuōin Yūkiji. It’s also here that you’ll find the Lake Sagami Pleasure Forest that ignites after dark with not only rides and live performances, but also magnificent LED light illuminations.

Ebina’s also within easy access of Lake Miyagase, which affords spectacular views of the Tanzawa Mountains. Walk along the impressive pedestrian suspension bridge or rent a kayak to explore the lake’s bird-filled marshes and rugged surrounds.
