About Moraira

A picturesque resort town on the Spanish Costa Blanca, Moraira retains the ambience of a quaint fishing port while offering leisure activities. The beaches boast water sports, regattas and a lively marina, while cafes, bars and sprawling vineyards are dotted throughout Moraira.

Things to do in Moraira

Beaches are the main draw in Moraira, with two strips of sand offering sunbathing and swimming. l’Ampolla Beach stretches along the coast near the town’s castle, which also has a children’s play area and beach ball games. El Portet Beach features dining and drinking establishments, along with a coastal path to the marina and main town.

For water sports and sailboat rentals, drive a few minutes to Calpe, where you can go jet skiing, paragliding and scuba diving. This is also where to find the Penon de Ifach, an enormous rock and nature reserve with a small museum documenting its history.

Browse the boutiques and small gift shops in the old market square of Moraira, where you can pick up leather goods, antiques and beach gear. Visit Muskatel wineries and vineyards in the countryside or do some wine tasting at local cafes and pubs.
