In the winter months, hit the alpine ski slopes of the Rauland Skisenter and Raulandsfjell Alpinsenter or take advantage of Norway’s largest toboggan centre at the Vierli Skisenter. Snowboarders love the huge Vierli Terrengpark while cross-country skiers can explore Rauland’s spectacular surrounds along the network of groomed tracks.

In addition to its recreational pursuits, the village is home to the Rauland Art Museum where paintings, sculptures and drawings by the locally-born Dyre Vaa are exhibited. As you stroll the peaceful streets, don’t miss a visit to the Rauland Church, which was designed in a cross shape by Jarand Rønjom in 1803.
