Strolling over Løkke Bridge, you’ll be retracing the footsteps of Claude Monet. The iconic French artist visited the town in 1895 and painted several masterpieces, including the famous “Sandviken Village in Snow” featuring the Kolsas mountains and Løkke Bridge.

Sandvika Storsenter features more than 60,000 square metres of retail space and is one of the largest malls in Scandinavia. From artisan tea to iconic Scandinavian fashion brands such as Ganni, the mall features almost 200 specialty stores.

Sandvika is set on the banks of Oslofjord and is fringed by beautiful sandy beaches. Kadettangen Beach is a local favourite, with soft sand, shallow water and a swimming raft.
