Spread across three buildings, the Museums of Bat Yam is one of Israel's top cultural attractions. You can admire modern works at the David Ben-Ari Museum for Contemporary Art, attend Yiddish workshops at Rybak House and discover a collection of antique books and rare manuscripts at the Sholem Asch Museum.
Bat Yam is a paradise for shoppers with three gleaming malls to explore. The spacious Bat Yam Mall is brimming with designer boutiques and chain retailers, along with a modern cinema complex and plenty of family-friendly entertainment shows.
Bat Yam Beach is fringed by golden sand and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. A breezy promenade winds along the coast and is dotted with grassy parks popular with families and dog walkers. Rent a surfboard or stand-up paddleboard and get out on the water, before lounging at a waterfront restaurant and watching the sunset.
Bat Yam is small and easy to explore on foot. Buses are also available around Bat Yam, connecting to nearby cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Allow around 20 minutes to drive to Tel Aviv and 1.5 hours to Jerusalem.
