Where to stay in Bromont

About Bromont

Nestled at the base of Mount Brome, Bromont is a small city renowned for its illuminated ski resort. It’s on the doorstep of forested trails and a working alpaca farm, as well as the wineries and cellar doors of Brome-Missisquoi.

Things to do

Hit the slopes of Mount Brome’s Ski Bromont, which is one of the largest illuminated alpine skiing destinations in North America. There are more than 140 trails during winter, while the resort transforms with water slides and rides in summer.

Walk the Sentier du Parc Des Montagnards trail along the slopes of Mount Shefford to the north of Bromont. Soak up views of Lake Brome and the Réserve Naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes from the summit or follow the snowshoe trail along the Yamaska North River if you’re visiting during winter.

Want to come face-to-face with alpacas? Visit the Domaine des Nobles Alpacas, a working alpaca farm where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at their breeding facilities. Visit the nurseries where baby alpacas are cared for and learn about the characteristics of alpaca wool, then purchase your own alpaca garment.

Enjoy a scenic drive through the vineyard-blanketed landscapes of Brome-Missisquoi, stopping to sample the wines at Vignoble de la Bauge. Join a guided wine tasting or the more immersive Cellar Master’s Tour, then visit a small animal park where young visitors can interact with Tibetan yaks and New Zealand deer.

Getting around

Bromont is just over an hour’s drive from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, with buses connecting the two destinations. Buses also travel throughout Bromont, but the downtown area is small enough to explore on foot.
