About District 6

Set to the west of Ho Chi Minh City’s central area, District 6 sprawls on the northern bank of the Kenh Lo Gom canal. This largely residential area is dotted with shops, eateries and schools and the perfect place to soak up the local culture.

Things to do in District 6

At the heart of the district lies Binh Phu Park, a leafy urban space that is popular with local joggers. It’s surrounded by cafes and Vietnamese restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat, as well as the MM Mega Market department store for all your shopping needs.

The Rach Lo Gomcanal stretches along the eastern edge of District 6, with a newly developed park and walking trail following its course. You can wander south along the canal to where it meets the Kenh Lo Gom canal and admire the Tịnh Xá Kim Cang temple.
