Beausoleil cascades down the hillside and features a maze of steep streets, alleys and stairways. Handsome Belle Epoque buildings line the streets and will enchant you with colourful facades and decorative balconies.

Of all the Belle Epoque buildings in Beausoleil, Riviera Palace is one of the most beautiful. Famous French architect Georges Chédanne designed the palace and enlisted the help of Gustave Eiffel for the sun-drenched winter garden. Lush tropical plants thrive beneath the cavernous glass-and-iron roof, which is reminiscent of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Follow Via Julia up to La Turbie, a picturesque hilltop village surrounded by citrus and olive trees. The trail follows an ancient Roman path and takes you through beautiful Mediterranean landscapes. You’ll pass some fascinating ruins along the way, including an enormous stone gate and a white marble monument. Enjoy lunch in the village before heading back down to Beausoleil.
