Ben Nevis towers 1,345 metres high and is the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom. A well-marked trail winds up to the summit, where you can enjoy sweeping views over the countryside. The return hike takes around eight hours. Reward yourself with a hearty meal of haggis, mashed potatoes and turnips at a local pub.
