Head down Ninth Avenue and you’ll find a collection of ethnic restaurants serving an array of international cuisine, from French to Vietnamese, Mexican and Ethiopian. After dining on Argentinian empanadas at Chimichurri Grill West, head into Broadway to catch a theatrical performance.
The nightlife in Hell’s Kitchen is an eclectic mix of jazz haunts, LGBTQ clubs, dive bars and swanky rooftop lounges. For cocktails with 360-degree views of the Hudson River, head to the Press Lounge. Alternatively, for a no-frills night out, visit Rudy’s Bar & Grill, a local tavern dating back to 1933.
Getting there
John F. Kennedy Airport is just under an hour drive south-east of Hell’s Kitchen, while LaGuardia Airport is just a 20-minute drive away. Take a shuttle bus or taxi into Manhattan and then make use of the New York City Subway.
