Nicknamed the “Showplace of the Nation”, Radio City Music Hall is nestled within the iconic Rockefeller Center in New York City. It’s home to the Rockettes dance company and hosts the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular Show.
Throughout the year, Radio City Music Hall has various live stage shows, film premiers and televised events. It’s also the venue for numerous awards shows, including the MTV Video Music Awards, the Grammy Awards and Tony Awards.
Three mezzanine levels and an orchestra seating area accommodate almost 6,000 spectators. Architectural features highlight Radio City, such as the grand foyer, diamond-shaped piers and lights and art-deco masterpieces. You can enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the Music Hall on a guided tour, which often includes meeting a Radio City Rockette.
Getting There
Radio City Music Hall sits between 50th and 51st Street. You can take the subway to the 50th St./Broadway stop and walk two blocks or walk two blocks from the 47th-50th/Rockefeller Center stop. It’s 25 kilometres from John F. Kennedy International Airport.
