About Bedok

Bordered by the green landscapes of East Coast Park, Bedok is a largely residential district to the east of Singapore. While it’s only a short ride into the city’s major sights, Bedok also boasts its own natural and recreational attractions, as well as some enticing food destinations.

Things to do in Bedok

East Coast Park hugs the Singapore Straits on the edge of Bedok and is the largest park in the city. It’s fronted by a man-made swimming beach that is perfect for cooling off in the heat and humidity, with barbecue pits, a fishing jetty and cycling trails to explore.

Experience Singapore’s world-renowned foodie culture at the East Coast Food Village, where hawker stalls serve up Asian favourites overlooking the beach. If you’re looking for delicious seafood, wander around the small lake to the East Coast Seafood Centre where you can feast on everything from crab to cuttlefish, scallops and lobster.

Active travellers can work off their meals on the zip-lines and obstacles at Forest Adventure, situated on the edge of Bedok Reservoir. Fly through the air on their Tarzan swing and tackle the high platform crossings, with a dedicated kid’s course for young adventurers.

On the eastern edge of Bedok is one of the world’s most awarded Masters Courses at the Laguna National Golf and Country Club. It was designed by celebrated golfing architect Andy Dye, with two 18-hole championship courses to choose from, when they’re not being used for professional tournaments such as the Singapore Masters.

Getting around Bedok

The Bedok Integrated Transport Hub is where bus and metro services meet, taking around 30 minutes’ to make the journey west into Marina Bay. Public buses travel throughout the district, connecting each of its neighbourhoods, sitting on the doorstep of Singapore’s Changi International Airport.
