Where to stay in Brean

About Brean

Overlooking the Bristol Channel, Brean is a small holiday village on the picturesque coast of Somerset. It’s renowned for its sandy beach, family-friendly attractions and heritage-listed buildings such as the 13th-century Church of St. Bridget.

Enjoy a day on the sands of Brean Beach, which features several rock pools and a cafe where you can grab lunch or afternoon tea. At one end of the beach is a grass-covered outcrop known as Brean Down offering sweeping views across Bridgwater Bay towards the Quantock Hills. In addition to the remains of a Roman-built temple, Brean Down is also topped by a Palmerston fort that dates back to 1870.

Travelling with kids? Spend a day at Brean Leisure Park, which boasts roller coasters, dodgem cars and a Ferris wheel. You can ride the “Wild Water” log flume or brave the “Terror Castle” ghost train before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the amusement park eateries.
