The academy is built in a traditional Chinese style and features life-size caricatures depicting 19th-century life, while wooden carvings are inscribed with phrases detailing the good manners which were acceptable at the time.

Weiwuyin Metropolitan Park was created on a former military ground and now serves as a vital ecological habitat in the district. Explore the walking trails around the lake, then cross the covered footbridge that was inspired by the film “The Bridges of Madison County”.

Dating back to the late 18th century, take the time to admire the elaborate Southern Chinese architecture of Fengshan Tiangong Temple. It is famed for housing a plaque inlaid with jade which depicts gods cleaning the streets.
