About Australian Reptile Park

Home to snakes, lizards, crocodiles and spiders, Australian Reptile Park is positioned in the rural surrounds of Somersby on the Central Coast. It plays a vital role in the collection of snake and spider venom for the production of antivenom and it’s also home to a large replica diplodocus that was one of Australia’s original “Big Things”.

Witness the power of “Elvis” the crocodile at the daily feeding sessions, then step through the gaping jaws of an immense model crocodile as you enter the Lost World of Reptiles exhibit. Here you can get up close to turtles, tortoises and monitor lizards and observe Komodo dragons, pythons and death adders.

Come face-to-face with funnel web spiders and tarantulas at Spider World, which is also home to scorpions, redbacks and Goliath birdeater spiders. The Australian Reptile Park is also home to a range of Australian mammals, such as kangaroos, koalas and Tasmanian devils.

Getting there

The Australian Reptile Park is located in Somersby, around 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of Gosford. Trains arrive here after a 1.5-hour journey from Sydney and Kingsford Smith International Airport.
