About Brisbane Entertainment Centre

The Brisbane Entertainment Centre is a popular multipurpose arena situated within the quaint suburb of the city of Brisbane in Boondall, Queensland, Australia. The centre has most prominently been used for musical performances, ice skating shows, and as a local event venue. It boasts the accolade of the largest indoor entertainment centre in Brisbane.

The Brisbane Entertainment Centre was originally dedicated to concerts, family shows, and sporting events but has since expanded into a diverse hosting location for corporate seminars, bull riding, supercross, wrestling, boxing, and circuses. Notable historical events have included the opening of the world champion ice skating performance in 1986, a PINK concert, and a Madonna concert.

The centre can be accessed by railway from the Boondall railway station via the Queensland or Shorncliffe networks. There are 4,000 parking spots available for personal vehicles as well as taxi transport options.

The Brisbane Bullets claimed the Brisbane Entertainment Centre as their home base from 1986-1997 and in 1987 won an NBL championship. In that same year, both Michael Jackson and Eric Clapton played memorable sold-out shows, making it one of the most historic years for the centre. From 1995-1997, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre was utilised to film scenes for the Gladiators TV series.
