About Dorrigo National Park

Part of the Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, Dorrigo National Park is renowned for its natural beauty and importance to Australia’s natural science and conservation. The 119-square-kilometre park offers enthralling walks to waterfalls, scenic picnic areas, excellent birdwatching and a wealth of native flora and fauna.

One of Dorrigo National Park’s biggest draws is the Skywalk, an elevated boardwalk that transports you across the treetops and offers a unique bird watching opportunity. You can also visit the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre to learn more about the national park through exhibits and informative staff. Duck into the Canopy Cafe for a light bite or fresh coffee.

Alternatively, you can pack a picnic to enjoy at the Never Never or The Glade picnic areas. Hikers will enjoy taking on the numerous trails throughout the park, such as the Crystal Showers Falls walk, which takes you to the cascading Crystal Showers Falls. You can also tick off the Lyrebird Link track, Blackbutt track or Casuarina Falls circuit.

Getting there

Dorrigo National Park is about one hour’s drive from Coffs Harbour and six hours’ drive from Sydney. The park is 2WD-accessible and you’ll find ample parking at the Canopy Cafe, Skywalk or Never Never picnic area.
